Förlagets pappband. - 1857 Otto Torell, geologist and zoologist from Lund, went to Island, the first swedish scientific expedition, mainly to study the ice ages ( he was one of the first to believe there was more than one ). He was accompanied by Gadde and this book consists of Gaddes notes and letters. The many illustrations are mostly taken from Gaimard but also from other early 19th century books on Iceland. All text in swedish.
