Contemporary half calf with gilt spine with red title label and green owner's label, mottled board-papers and yellow edges. Boards somewhat worn. Exlibris stamp on title of Erik Carl Trafvenfelt (same as on spine). Probably lacks half title.
¶ Carlander III, s. 231. August Friedrich Walch was an obsterician in Jena. Carl Erik Trafvenfelt (1774-1835) Swedish professor in medicine. Together with six colleagues he inaugurated the Swedish Association of Physicians in 1806, and was its driving force until he died. His medical library, consisting of 1359 items, was sold at an auction in Stockholm in december 1835.
