ALBRIER / SENEFELDER:
Le General Bernadotte (1794) Prince de Ponte-Corvo (1806). Roi de Suède et de Norwège (1818).

Paris. Chez Chaillou-Potrelle, rue saint-Nonoré. 1826? 57,5 x 42,5 cm. A few short tears to the margins. Small creases across the image. One long crease.
¶ A portrait in lithography depicting Karl Johan Bernadotte general to Napoleon and from 1818 king of Sweden. Executed after a portrait by the french artist Joseph Albrier and lithograhped by Senefelder in Paris. It is probably not lithographed by the inventor of lithography himself - Alois Senefelder - but by one of his four brothers. This portrait was probably issued with two other lithographs depicting La Fayette and Joachim Murat as a part in a serie of portraits published by the Paris firm Chaillou-Potrelle.
