Nicely uniformely bound volumes except volume thirteen which has slightly different ornamentation at the spine, and board papers in differnt colours. Five volumes with minor loss att the upper spine. One volume with two short tears to the upper spine. One volume with damage to the board papers and a small water damage to the back board and back fly leaf. Two volumes with some pages with discreet water stain in the margin. Two engravings crudely repaired. A few minor stains and a couple of volumes with a few small annotations. A couple of volumes with some dirt to the fly leaves, paste downs and tiles. A few pages with minor loss to the margins. A couple of pages with a small tear to the text area. About a dozen pages narrowly cut, but no text loss. In spite of the above, a nice set. ¶ A charming description of the world and its people, with numerous engravings and some maps. This is a complete thirteen volume set of Zimmermanns "Jorden och dess invånare", a swedish abridged translation of the german original "Die Erde und ihre bewohner". Volume thirteen is very uncommon. It was published seven years after volume tvelve. Complete sets are scarce.
