Selander published this atlas on his own initiative due to irritation about the slow movement by the government to produce a modern national atlas. A similar situation appeared a hundred years earlier when Gustaf Hermelin started to publish a national atlas for the same reason. A one of a kind copy in plano. The only copy in plano I have seen.
