¶ A chart of the largest lake in Sweden. - Vänern - and the Gothia River runing from the lake to the west coast town of Gothenburg. The chart has a large inset of "Lurö Skärgård med Kollandsö". The Gothia Canal uses the lake and the river as a major part of its system, which makes it possible to go by boat from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea, far north of the sound between Sweden and Denmark. The chart is a continuation of Klints famous "Sveriges Sjöatlas" (Sea-Atlas of Sweden) published 1797-1820. Despite its name covering most european waters as well as the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Klints sea charts were famous for their accuracy. In some cases even english charts cited Klint to improve credibility.
