¶ A danish edition of the classic works by the 18th century swedish poet Carl Michael Bellman. He was a master of spirituallity and a close friend of the swedish king Gustavus III. To this day, Bellman is a very much loved cultural icon in Sweden. The charming and entertaining plates shows characters in 18th century Stockholm. Many of them drunk. These images are some of the best illustrations ever executed to Bellman´s work. They were lithographed after originals by Elis Chiewitz and Vilh. Pedersen, the H. C. Andersen illustrator.
