A. Degouy, Saumur & Névo-Degouy, Paris, 1830. First edition. Two nicely bound 8o-volumes in later half leather bindings in 19th Century style with marbled endpapers. Minimal mark to one spine, but very good condition. Uncut copies with the lithographed, blue original wrappers conserved. These are a bit spotted and worn in corners. With in all 22 folded lithographed plates in the end. The plates are a bit odd numbered, but this work is complete. A bit foxed here and there, although never very heavy. Vol. I; VIII, 408 p. + 8 large, folded plates. Vol. II; (IV), 356 p. + 14 large, folded plates. The four parts are: Connaissance du cheval, Emploi du cheval, Conservation du cheval and Des haras et remontes.
