Backs a little rubbed, some cracking to leather along hinges, but covers not detached. Corners bumped. Ocasionally somewhat brownspotted, a few tears in plates (no loss). A few corners dampstained. With all 4 halftitles. (8),XXXII,388 - (6),536 - (6),394 - VIII,367,(3) pp. and 52 engraved plates, mostly large and folded, among these are 28 folded maps. (all). ¶ First French edition of Cooke's first travel, a title-issue identical with the Paris-edition from the same year, only with a different titlepage and a printed Privilege in Dutch for the Dutch publisher.
