¶ First edition thus of these six preshakespearian plays, translated by Ludwig Tieck and his daughter Dorothea Tieck. The work has been of great importance to the study of Shakespeare, as Tieck's idea is to investigate the writings of Shakespeare in their right element, -also influenced by previous English literature.
