Loose as issued, kept in three fine green/black cloth portfolios with gilt-lettered spines and tie-strings. The map is browned, one title leaf is chipped (not affecting text), otherwise fine.

A monumental collection of elevations, sections, perspectives and plans of buildings in Rome, from Renaissance to latter day Classicism. Letarouilly, a pupil of Percier, first traveled to Italy in 1820 and began his sketches then. The published collection was widely consulted by the Classicist Revival architects in France and abroad. A text volume was published separately and is not present in this set.
