En del fläckar i marginalen men huvudsakligen gott skick. Insidan av bakre pärm med inklistrad maskinskriven offert på detta exemplar från Björck & Börjesson 1941, där den betecknas som "mycket sällsynt". Exlibris. Den romerske historikern Jordanes sammanfattning av Cassiodorus förlorade historia över de gotiska folken, vars ursprung här placeras i Skandinavien (Scandza). En av göticismens grundkällor.

Huvudsakligen ändå ett bra exemplar. Insidan av främre pärm med namnteckning: Henrik Johan Hartwich, försättsblad med ägarblindstämpel: E.O. Regnstrand, Vadstena, även titelsidan med svag namnteckning av den sistnämnde.

The portrait of Emin Pascha with some slight foxing and dampstaining at the edges, plate XXVI with ca 2 cm tear at lower edge, a couple of pages with a couple of tiny tears at the fore-edge, interior else fine. Important work on the exploration of central and eastern Africa.
