Here are a number of questions that often comes up about buying antiquarian books.

And of course, answers to the good questions!

  • Can you get a book written up for sale at the second-hand bookshop? - The best thing you can do is create a request here on the site, where you enter the most relevant things such as the author's name, the name of the title or a keyword that describes what you are looking for.

  • Can you pick up the books in the store? - Yes, you can! But you should be aware that if you order books for pickup, it must be from the second-hand bookshops where you are physically able to pick them up. We have second-hand bookshops throughout Scandinavia, so be aware of this so that you don't have to take the train to the other end of the country .... or to a completely different country! If the second-hand bookshop is too far from you, order your books with shipping.

  • Can you pay in cash? - Yes, you can, but only if you visit the second-hand bookshops physically. If you order online, you also pay online, or order your books via Invoice Order, where the second-hand bookshop sends you payment instructions separately.

  • Do you buy books? - Yes, we definitely do! But you should contact one of the second-hand bookstores that is closest to you, or that has an assortment that includes the books you want to sell. You will find all contact information in the link "Participating second-hand bookstores", which is located at the top of all pages of the site.

  • Can you have your collection appraised? - Yes, most antique shops carry out appraisals for customers. This costs an appraisal fee that can vary greatly, depending on how large the collection is, how complicated the collection is, and how much research needs to be done in this regard. But contact the antique shop you think can best solve the task, you will find all contact information in the link "Participating antique shops", which is located at the top of all pages of the site.
