WEGNER, HANS J. - NAGAI, KEIJI (ed.).

Hans J. Wegner from Keiji Nagai Collection.

Vangsgaards Antikvariat
vga947444
Key & Design Associates, Tokyo 1990. Folio. Illustrations in colour. In original cover with the ties of the spine visible in original black boards stamped in black.

* Inscribed by Keiji Nagai on front cover. **Limited edition of 500 copies published in conjuncture with the 1990 Hans J. Wegner exhibition of chairs stemming from the collection of Keiji Nagai. The style of shooting the objects on a black background supposedly influenced later catalogues such as ones published by the Danish producer PP Møbler. ***Keiji Nagai fell in love with chairs at a fairly young age, when he encountered western magazines like the Danish "Mobilia", and he started collecting the chairs. The merging of function with an aesthetic beauty has occupied him for many years since. Keiji Nagai received the Danish Møbelprisen in 1997 together with Noritsugo Oda, also an avid collector of Danish chairs.
