It began in 1955 when Photographer Wayne Miller...Edward Steichen's principal assistant in developing the definitive exhibition 'The Family of Man,' was challenged to trace human individuality to its source in the urgent, passionate, viable life of childhood." He focused first on the children he knew best--his own...--and then fanned out to embrace the daily experiences of many children playing, learning and growing up in Orinda, California, across the bay and over the hills from San Francisco."

[LIMBACH, R.E.]. - :
Kirkegaards Antikvariat
kir60407
?Copenhagen: Dehli Forlag, (1959) . 4to. Original softcover. 159 pp. Illustrated throughout with erotic nude photographs of women, with short introduction text (in both English, German and Danish). Jacket a bit worn, book itself well preserved and clean. First edition. 'Limbach' is a pseudonym, maybe for the Danish writer Ove Brusendorff. Brusendorff published several books on erotica and together with Poul Henningsen an illustrated history of erotica ('A History of Eroticism'). The present work is dedicated 'Til Tove'. Who was Tove? The most famous Tove was Tove Ditlevsaen and she frequented the same circle of people in Copenhagen Ove Brusendorff, Erik Noergaard, Poul Henningsen, Victor B. Andreasen, Sten Hegeler. 'The Ageless Nude' has the same humour and light tone as the other publications by these authors - a highly charming, very rare "photobook" with pre-porn age nudes.
